Janis Ian is an internationally known American singer, songwriter, and recording artist with nine Grammy nominations. Ian was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2002 for her 60s folk hit "Society's Child" and again in 2008 for her 70s smash single "At Seventeen." Her compositions have been recorded by artists as diverse as Roberta Flack ("Jesse"), Mel Torme ("Silly Habits"), and Cher ("Stars"), and are now reaching their third generation of listeners.
