Master guitarist Archie Fisher is a legendary figure in the world of folk music and is revered as one of the great Scottish folksingers and songwriters of this generation. He is known throughout Scotland as the host of BBC Radio Scotland's award-winning "Travelling Folk" show, which he has presented for over 25 years. Recognized for his contributions to Scottish folk music, he was inducted into the Scots Traditional Music Hall of Fame and in 2006 he was awarded the Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE), a prestigious honour nominated by his peers and bestowed by Queen Elizabeth for services to traditional music.
