Singer Songwriter

Festival Place...the place for Singer Songwriters.

"Stone's scope is far-reaching, connecting seemingly disparate cultures with a passion for music that runs through bluegrass, jazz and the grit of roots music to West Africa."
~ Boston Globe

Banjoist Jayme Stone won the 2008 Juno Award for Instrumental Album of the Year for his solo album The Utmost. With griot singer and kora player Mansa Sissoko, he won the 2009 Juno Award for World Music Album of the Year for their bluegrass African fusion album titled Africa to Appalachia. Stone's forthcoming album explores music based on folk dances from around the world, and will feature fiddle pioneer Casey Driessen, gravity-defying guitarist Grant Gordy, Gaelic songbird Julie Fowlis, nyckelharpa craftsman Olov Johansson, trumpet great Kevin Turcotte, and others.

For tonight's concert, Stone will be joined by the talented Casey Driessen, Grant Gordy and Greg Garrison.
